Saturday in Kitsap: a quilt festival and a handmade market
Two free-admission Saturday events put locally made work in the spotlight, from quilts on Bainbridge Island to a market in Bremerton.

Quilts and handmade goods are on the calendar for Saturday, September 12. The Bainbridge Quilt Festival and Kitsap Handmade Market each list free admission, with different locations and hours to consider before setting out.
Bainbridge Quilt Festival
The Bainbridge Island Modern Quilt Guild lists its annual festival at Winslow Green on Bainbridge Island, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The guild describes 2026 as the festival’s 14th year.
Visitors can see handmade quilts displayed around the green and vote for a favorite in the Viewer’s Choice selection. The event offers an opportunity to look closely at the colors, patterns and construction of work that is usually seen in homes rather than gathered in one outdoor setting.
Kitsap Handmade Market
The Kitsap Handmade Market’s September 12 listing places its outdoor market at 7555 Old Military Road in Bremerton, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The organizer advertises handmade products from local vendors, along with music, food and games.
Free admission covers entry; bring a separate budget if you plan to buy food or take home something from a maker.
Before you go
Choose your destination with travel time in mind: these are separate events in different communities. Check the organizer’s page again before departure, and confirm any parking, accessibility or weather questions directly with that organizer. If your plan uses transit or a ferry, check the timetable for Saturday and leave room for the trip home.
