Bainbridge Island is accepting nonprofit proposals for human-services work during 2027 and 2028. The city’s funding announcement sets the application deadline at 4 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2026.
The city identifies $660,000 for the two-year cycle. Its definition of human services includes help with essential needs such as food, clothing, shelter and access to health care.

The 2027–28 request for proposals describes the allocation as $330,000 per year and lists an annual request range of $10,000 to $165,000. Use those annual figures when checking a proposed budget against the two-year funding term.
The RFP lists eligibility conditions including nonprofit tax-exempt status or an eligible fiscal sponsor, a minimum two-year operating history and services primarily provided on Bainbridge Island or for its residents.
